Download a new version
Get the latest build for any platform from the download section, or browse every version on GitHub Releases. Install it over the old one; your settings carry over.
It won't open
- macOS says it can't verify the developer. The app isn't signed by Apple. Open it once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Or run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Gigaflush.appin Terminal. - macOS says the app is damaged. That's the same download flag; run the
xattrcommand above. - Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer. Click More info, then Run anyway.
- Linux: no tray icon. Install
libayatana-appindicator3-1, and on GNOME the AppIndicator extension.

Common questions
- A folder I expected isn't listed. Gigaflush only lists folders that sit beside a project file, such as
node_modulesnext topackage.json. Also check that its type is enabled under Cleanup types. - A folder couldn't be removed. Stop dev servers, watchers, and IDE indexers that may hold files open, then try again.
- Sizes don't match the space I got back. Sizes are logical file sizes; compression, clones, and hard links can make the real savings differ.
